The prize is a valuable recognition of Bodegas Navarioja's dedicated efforts Red ‘Pardoño 2003 Crianza' was awarded a Bronze Medal at the prestigious ‘Challenge International du Vin'. This year, the contest celebrated its 30th edition. The event is organised by the Concours de Vin Association, who also host Citadelles du Vin. Challenge International du Vin 2006 registered a record number of entrants: over 5,000 wines from all corners of the world (up to 36 countries). Only one quarter of samples made the mark and received and award in a massive but none the less strict blind tasting carried out by an international jury of 840 wine professionals and experts. Navarioja is a traditional Navarre winery that has recently undertaken an in-depth modernisation process. Their 100 hectares of own vineyards provide the grape for the range of five wines under the ‘Pardoño' label: young, Crianza and Reserva reds, white and rosé. |
